Vallecito
Creek Trail
There is limited parking for the heavily used
Vallecito Creek Trail 529, which starts at the north end of
the campground. This trail is a major access point for the
Weminuche Wilderness because it goes all the way to the
Continental Divide and Colorado Trail on Rio Grande National
Forest. Vallecito Trail is a "must do" for outdoor
enthusiasts of all skill levels!
Johnson Creek Trail 504 goes west from Trail
529 to Vallecito Basin.
Rock Creek Trail 655 goes to Rock Lake.
Trail 815 joins Continental Divide Trail 813 north of West Ute
Lake.
Directions
from Bayfield, Colorado: Travel 20 miles north on
County Road 501, then turn left on County Road 500 for 3
miles.
